WD TV Live Media Player 規格方面看起來跟先前的差異不太大，最大的差異在可以作DTS音效解碼，此外，影片格式方面，除了原有的MKV、TS、TP與MP4等，這次新增5支援VC-1，至於音訊與圖片格式，支援的種類都一樣，同樣也不支援Real(RMVB)格式。

端子方面，2個USB、光纖、與HDMI等都沒少，除原有的Composite(AV端子)，現在也加上Component(色差端子)。當然還有新增了網路連結的功能。
